1964 Dodge Polara

December 2006 Mopar of the Month

Joe writes from Chicago, Illinois: I bought this Dodge
from a guy in Three Rivers Michigan in August of 2005.

Since then I have restored the interior to original:
steering wheel replaced, new carpet and headliner, new
gauges and faceplates, rebuilt radio.

I also rebuilt the front end, put on new tires using 15 inch wheels with dog dish hub caps.

Then a new clutch and pressure plate behind a rebuilt 440 engine,
along with a new Edelbrock carburetor, alternator, and an engine compartment detail.

Also completed is a full detail of the trunk with repaint and a new trunk mat.

Various areas of the car had rust bubbles and surface rust but that was repaired by a professional painter, Jim, and blended in to perfection.

The restoration took a full year, but it was worth the wait. I love Mopars!
