This was a 318 car rescued from a California junk yard.

The 440 that replaced the 318 made the Plymouth a lot of fun to cruise and show, it just wasn't fast enough!

So the '65 got a different engine.

With some help from a good friend, it is a 440 that should dyno at around 575 horses, requiring adding a rollbar and wider tires on the '65.

At the dragstrip, I was able to get into the 11's, and this was with the carb's barrels only about 3/4 of the way open. If I can figure out how to get more travel out of my pedal, I'm sure I'll be able to get mid 11's out of it.

Don't worry though, the same weekend I did the 11.93, I put 90 miles on the street too!
