Bill writes: Our Mopar family: The black 1964 Plymouth Fury in the yard belongs to my son, Greg. The Plymouth was originally a 361, factory 4-speed; now it is a mildy warmed over 440 with gear drive, 800 Holley, and crushed velvet interior. |

The Plymouth has been lowered in the front. (He likes em low!)

The other black 1964 Fury shown in the shop I found on ebay. The Plymouth is an original 383, 727 pushbutton with factory A/C. |

Interesting story behind this car. It was originally sold new in my hometown and my brother tried to buy it from the original owner when he decided to sell it. But my brother was too late and the car was already sold. My brother even tried to track the Plymouth down but could not find it. (He had a red on red 1963 Plymouth Sport Fury, 383, 4-speed in 1963 and the next year he bought a new 1964 Plymouth Fury 426 street wedge 4-speed.) He drove a few hundred miles trying to track the car down. That was in 1987. Last year I happen to find the Fury on ebay. I could not believe it was the same car. I used the buy-it-now option and bought the car. The Plymouth has 59,000 miles on it and that is believed to be the original mileage. The weekend I went to get it my son told my brother that I had found and bought the same car. My brother came down to look at it and he could not believe that I had found that same car. I sold the Plymouth to him and I am helping work on it for him, trying to get it fixed up a little. |

The other black 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury is also mine awaiting the time when I can start working on it. It is an original 361, 4-speed car. |

The red 1964 hiding in the open corner of the barn is a Sport Fury, small block, console auto car, also awaiting its turn one of these days. (The old pick-up next to it is a 1938 Dodge 1-ton pick-up with a 9 foot bed. Neat old truck and, of course, it will be Mopar powered.) |

I also have a 1962 Dodge Polara 500.
Not pictured is my sons 1963 Plymouth Sport Fury, 383 pushbutton drag car, with a stock 440. The 1963 has been a lot of fun.
So were really a Mopar family.
I really like the 1962 to 1965 Mopar web site as it has already helped me with some things on the 1964 Plymouth that I am working on. The people on the sites Mail List are friendly and really to share their knowledge to help.
