1965 Dodge Coronet 440

Here is a picture of my 318 Coronet 440. It was my first car!

1965 Dodge Coronet 440

The car is painted Sikkens 1992 Dodge Claret red with 1992 Dodge Bright White in the stripe. The interior is two tone red and black. The factory bench seat was pitched in favor of 1967 Sport Fury buckets with a buddy seat in between! The car rolls on 1970 Road Runner Road Wheels wrapped in 245/60/14 BF Goodrich Radial T/A's.

The 318 had a fresh rebuild before it left the 1962 Fury it had lived in for some time. I got it at a steal.

I am currently running a 600 Carter AFB on the factory 4 barrel intake. I installed a Mopar Performance electronic ignition conversion kit and little else. The only other mod is a nice Magnum chrome air cleaner to dress things up a little.

Plans call for finally using the factory 1957 2 four barrel intake. I also would like to put some more correct looking seats in it to look a little cleaner inside!

That car has seen me through all sorts of things...4 years of high school (sharing duty me senior year with the white one) [editor's note: see the Beast link, below] and tons of car shows from Carlisle, PA. to Charlotte, NC. I have driven it to Carlisle 2 times and even drove it on the 1998 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour.

I hope to get some more done to the car as money allows! I have so many projects that its hard to keep up with my budgets! I will have to send some pictures of my projects for the Works in Progress Page!
