1962 Plymouth Fury convertible

Larry Harrison writes:

The car I am writing about changed my life completly.

It started in July of 1962, I was on my way to work and I saw this beautiful cherry red 62 Fury convertible sitting in the Chrysler- Plymouth dealer showroom, two days later I bought it.

In February the following year I met the woman of my dreams and we were married in June of that year. Due to being laid off from my job in 1965 I sold the car.

I begain to search for the car in the 80's but it had been wrecked and I wasn't able to find it.

In 1987 I saw an add for a 1962 Fury convertible within 20 miles of where I live, so I bought it.

The car was in terrible shape but I set a timeline to have the car restored for our 30th wedding anniversary. The car was finished in the spring of 1993 and we enjoyed it very much that summer and have every summer since!

I failed to mention the car is cherry red with a white top exactly like the one we had.

Thank You

Larry Harrison
