NMCA Mopars at Royal Purple Raceway

The NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals and the NMCA Flowmaster Muscle Car Nationals were a combined event held at Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Texas on November 11, 12 and 13.
The photos below are from Saturday November 12, 2011 at the combined event, called The 3rd Annual NMRA - NMCA Lone Star Shootout.
Notes
The 1965 Dodge Max Attack ran in the 9s with 140 plus m.p.h.
On Sunday, day after these photos were taken, the 1964 Dodge OReilly Motorsports post car won that NSS class, beating the blue Chevy. The Chevy red-lighted but one of the Dodge Boys 1964 Mopars would have given the bow-tie a good match anyway. I was told that 1964 Dodge was a race car since new.
I did not get a chance to talk to many of the racers. However, it was my pleasure to talk with a few them, Randy (1963 Plymouth), Jerry (1965 Dodge) and Gary (1965 Plymouth), as well as Scott, a former member of the 1962 to 1965 Mopar Mail List Clubhouse, who is working on a 1964 Plymouth.
I would have taken more photos but the camera decided enough was enough and quit. In any case, below gives a good idea of the fun event on Saturday. Gary H.
