I bought the Mopar pretty much as you see it and cosmetically the car was pretty good, but mechanically it was a mess.

Of course I didn’t realize this when I bought it! Since I’ve owned the Polara 500 we’ve had the Torqueflite completely rebuilt, rebuilt most of the front end and brake systems, including the steering box, and replaced the wheels and tires.

We’ve also spent some time and $$$ on the interior. The steering wheel was completely redone by Gary’s in Carlisle, PA. The instrument panel was redone by Mr. G’s and the seats and carpet were done by Reigle’s upholstery in Lebanon, PA.

Needless to say the Dodge is a great cruiser and loves the highway. And now since the front end is done, it even goes where you point it.
