1965 Dodge Coronet

January 2016 Mopar of the Month

Joe writes from Texas:This 1965 Dodge Coronet was purchased by my father in July, 1965 from Burkett Motors, in downtown Houston, TX.
(Burkett is gone but the building is still there on San Jacinto Street, now housing a U-Haul dealer.)

The Dodge has seen continuous service ever since: 50 years and counting!
The Coronet has driven on both U.S. coasts and boasts a still-accumulating 775K odometer miles.
Comfort features include AM/FM radio with reverb, factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes.

Propelling the Mopar is a 225 Slant Six engine with a TorqueFlight: a long running combination.

The Coronet is proof that B-body Mopars are good reliable practical drivers. In fact, the Coronet is still a daily driver.
