I am Claude Lavertu, a French speaking person who lives in St. Hippolyte, 35 miles north of Montréal province of Québec Canada....
Since I...retired in 1996 I was looking for an antique car for a hobby. I bought a dream car, a 1962 Dodge Dart 440 4 door sedan with a 6 cylinder, automatic transmission, power brakes, power steering, original radio front and rear speakers. I bought it from a family inheritance in the Spring of 1997 at a very good price.
The interior and carpet were original and only needed cleaning; the same was true with the stainless steel and chrome parts.
The electrical system and wiring were A-1.
The car was completely stripped and repainted with original color codes because the paint was too faded.
15 inch tires and P205-75 R-15 tires were put on the Dodge.
I drive my 1962 Dodge every weekend when it does not rain. I put about 1000 miles per summer, since 1998.
Only a select number of true Mopar fans would pick a 1962 Dodge Dart as a dream car. Good going. I'm glad you did! :-)
I believe whenever you go to a car show your Dodge WILL draw a crowd as well as any later Mopar muscle car.
Enjoy those weekend outings and take care of that Dart; the '62 Dart is a great driver.
