1965 Plymouth Belvedere II

Kent wrote: When I got my 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II [in 2000] the Mopar was brush painted black, in terrible shape and headed for the scrap yard: 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II before restoration
Instead the Plymouth was given to me from a friend and I reworked it the way I wanted it to be. Originally a polyhead 318, I installed a 426 wedge engine with 250hp shot of nitrous, Indy cylinder heads, Mopar M1 intake with a Barry Grant 1080 cfm carb atop; automatic 727 with a manual shift valve body, and Cheetah shifter; 4:56 gears in a Dana rear end. 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II, driver side

The Plymouth runs real well.

Thanks, Kent!

From terrible shape headed to scrap yard to nitrous snorting terror...quite a journey!

Your hard work and dedication should give a little inspiration to all that are doing a '62 to '65 Mopar project.

Congratulations for saving the Plymouth! All your hard work certainly shows!

Re: 2009 update: Wow! Full tilt resto! Neat!   smile!
