I am 43 years old and I have owned the Dodge since I was 18. The Dodge has always served as a weekend car, garage kept all these years, and wearing original paint, maroon or dark ruby red.
The Coronet has a 1968 383. Originally an automatic, the guy I bought the car off of converted it to a 4 speed.
The Dodge is due for paint in February 2003. I plan on painting it with a new Dodge paint that is really close to original color. After I get it painted I want to convert to front disc brakes. Then I will be done for a little while: just want to drive the car and enjoy it!
The car runs great and I love to drive it every chance I get!
Update January 2004
My Coronet is almost done. Just need to do some work on the car's trim.
The paint ended up as base coat Ford laser red, tinted pearl coat, and five coats of clear. When the sun hits the paint it
is awesome!
The Dodge at a car show in Lockport Illinois:
The Dodge is a real head turner going down the road.
Great, Jule!
NOT enjoying driving a 4 speed big block 1965 Dodge is something I can't visualize.
