1965 Plymouth Satellite

Per writes: I was surfing on Mopar 1962 -1965 and I saw my own car, with the previous owner. To update, I bought this beautiful 1965 Plymouth Satellite back in 2003, since then it has been waiting on me to see to get started with the major renovation. It has been very difficult for me to find sheet metal parts for the car but I have gotten some help from a nice guy named Arthur in the Mopar 1962 -1965 and now I have all the parts except one: the left side at the top quarter panel.

Maybe someone can help me find it, or have a parts car in the garage.

I have also been lucky to get a good 440 engine from a Dodge Charger, a project car that had been abandoned when the motor that came with my Satellite was possible to save.

Now there is only a single 1965 Satellite here in Denmark with plates so it is not everyday you meet someone who has renovated a 1965 Plymouth satellite. But I found a man (here in DK) who had renovated a 1965 Satellite back in 1996, when he had finished renovating it, he sold it to someone abroad; luckily he had a box of miscellaneous pieces, a complete set of badges standing back who never had followed the car and it was lucky because all my big badges were broken.

I have also got hold of a wheel weld trim to the left side of the car, as these were destroyed and it is not something you see everyday for sale.

I work like crazy and hope to be finished next spring (2012).
