1964 Dodge Polara 500

Jerry (Ark Moparman) Hollihan writes:

I'm a little late sending this in, as I sold this car in October 2001; it is in Ontario Canada now, but I always intended to send in a picture!

So here goes:

1964 Dodge Polara 500

I owned the car for 8 years, and restored it: man, what work!

The 500 was an original vinyl top car with factory seat belts, black interior. I put in a 1974 440 with a mild cam and used original 727, with a 1967 8/34.

The Dodge was a great Chevy thumper! -- they never new what hit them after about 50 mph! What a torque curve!

I miss it a lot, but I wanted a new project.. Got my eye on a '63 Polara convertible and a Cuda.

I have several parts for a 1964 left over if anyone is interested

Hope everyone enjoys the picture!

Great looking car, Jerry!

"Mopar torque monster eats Chebby, details at 11:00" is a familiar news story!;-)

I'm sure you had fun with the 500, and much of the same to come with your next Mopar project!
