1962

The 1962 Dodge 880 was introduced mid way in the year. The downsized 1962 Darts and Plymouths were not selling as hoped, and Dodge dealers wanted a bigger car to compete with the bigger sized Chevy and Ford lines.

The big 1962 Dodge 880 used the 122 inch Chrysler wheelbase and borrowed the front clip styling from the 1961 Dodge.

1963

1964

1965

In 1965 the big Dodge Mopars, built on what was now called the C Body platform, were the Polara, the Custom 880 and the Monaco.

The Polara was the entry level model, replacing the 880 designation of 1964. The Polara 500 was a trim option offered only on the Polara convertible and Polara two door hardtop. Included among the 500 trim options was a special bucket seat and console, Polara 500 emblems and unique spinner hubcaps. The Custom 880 was a more optioned version of the Polara, while the Monaco was a two door hardtop aimed the market grabbed by Pontiac's successful Grand Prix.
