Update August, 1999

It has been a while since I have written to you all over in MoPar land. I have made much progress on my Polara. Since you last heard from me I have gotten my fuel dilery problems taken care of and I converted the A/C over to R-134a. The car runs great.

Not long ago I finished the body. I sanded what little rust there was away and used a little body filler to fill in the pitting. I proceeded to sand down the body and primer it. I don't know if I will get a chance to paint it this summer, but it is just sitting in my garage.

I had a heck of a time trying to located a new (used) AC idler pulley last week. The factory installed systems use a different one than the dealer installed. I hit several junk yards with old cars and none had dealer air. I went up to the auto parts store and they suggested i replace the bearing. That is what I should have done all along. I keep that in mind the next time something like that happens.

Goes to show you that the big 1962 to 1965 Mopars are among the best deals going! Nice snag, Brian!
You are making good progress too! Keep up the good work.
