Found this 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 2 dr hdtp sitting in a backyard in August of this year - currently no engine - has 3500 stall - 727 with reverse valve body and shift kit and 8 3/4 with 4.56 gears - This car has gone in the 10.20's in full NHRA sanctioned racing in 1996 with a "mild" 440.......

I also just bought another 65 Coronet 500 2 dr hdtp drag car - rolling hull- with a 9" rear with 5.38's.......no pic scanned yet.....It also ran a mild 440 and went in the low 10's......

I plan to build a 1968 or 69 vintage 375 hp motor up to probably the 600 horse range while combining the best of each into one really heavy hitting super stock drag machine.....In as much as I drive a semi over the road the progress will be quite slow but I can keep you posted every 6 months or so...........

I really enjoy your site.......fine job!!

Thanks, Bruce. Truckin' around the U.S.A. has extra job benefits: spotting 1965 Dodges to rescue! Sounds like fun. :-) Also, thanks for the encouragement about the web site. It's folks like you that make the site enjoyable. Look forward to hearing how the project progresses...
